recently saw a performance of Stockhausen's Montag from his opera cycle Licht, utterly outerworldly music and the performance verging on the ridiculous, Stockhausen's universe requires an open mind and isn't necesarily all that modern anymore, but still, there is something to be said about his blatant originality and disinterest for music's conventions (although he does respect his own conventions very much) the following interview sheds some light on the man...
